How it works

  1. Send us your last season of jobs

A rough list of recent jobs with the community or postal code, your typical ticket and how many quotes you win. Those three things tell us where in Langley your money is.

  2. Agree on the few things worth doing

We pick the communities, searches and channels that fit your crew size, write down what each month costs and what we expect it to produce, and only then start.

  3. Get a real person on the line

No funnel and no hand-off to a junior. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Langley is two places that share one name. The City of Langley is a compact core of about 10 square kilometres, and the Township of Langley wraps around it across roughly 307 square kilometres of suburbs, villages and farmland. Your customers don't care about that boundary, but your marketing should, because a plumber in Murrayville and a landscaper in Aldergrove are really working in different markets. Langley Marketing builds plans around that reality.

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a contractor, we don't do the trade work, and we don't resell leads. We help owners of trades and local businesses get found, get chosen and get paid for work they actually want.

Who we work with in Langley

We work with owner-run trades and local businesses that already do good work and want a steadier flow of the right jobs. That usually means a crew of two to twenty people, a reputation built on referrals, and a website that hasn't kept up.

Typical clients include:

  • Home-service trades: plumbers, electricians, roofers, gutter and drainage crews, painters, flooring installers, renovators and fence builders
  • Outdoor and property trades: landscapers, arborists, excavation and paving companies, and acreage maintenance outfits in the Rural Area
  • Storefront and studio businesses: shops, cafés, salons, fitness studios and clinics along the Fraser Highway, in Fort Langley village, around Willowbrook and in Aldergrove
  • Heating and cooling companies, where the group's published results come from

If you're not sure your business fits, call or text and ask. A two-minute conversation settles it faster than a web page can.

Why Langley needs its own plan

The short answer is growth plus distance. According to the 2021 Census, the two Langleys had 161,566 residents between them, and both grew by more than a tenth in five years. New households arrive constantly, and most of them have no trusted plumber, roofer or hair stylist yet.

Distance is the other half. From Walnut Grove in the north-west to Aldergrove in the east is a real drive, and a two-hour job that turns into a three-hour round trip loses money. Google's local results lean heavily on proximity, relevance and prominence, so a business that tries to "own all of Langley" usually ends up thin everywhere. We would rather help you dominate the communities you can serve profitably, then extend outward.

A quick worked example

Say your average job is worth $1,200 and you win one in three quotes. Each booked job then needs three quote requests. If paid search costs you $70 per request, a job costs about $210 to win, or 17.5% of the ticket. Push your service area out to places where you win one in five because you can't get there quickly, and the same job now costs $350, almost 30% of the ticket. The fix is usually geography, not a bigger budget.

What we do

We keep the menu short. Most Langley businesses need two or three of these, not all five:

  1. Local search and Google Business Profile, so you appear in the map results for the communities you serve.
  2. Google Ads and Local Services Ads, with a cost-per-job ceiling set before we spend a dollar.
  3. Marketing to new-home owners in Willoughby, Carvolth and the other growth areas.
  4. Main-street and storefront marketing for businesses that need people through the door.
  5. Websites that turn visits into calls, with proof from your own jobs and nothing in the way of calling you.

The services overview explains how to choose between them, and pricing shows what each plan includes.

How we decide what to do first

We start with your numbers, not ours. Before recommending anything, we want to know your typical job value, how many quotes you win, how far you'll drive, and which jobs you'd happily never do again.

Then we check four things:

  • Your Google Business Profile: category, service area, photos, reviews and whether it matches your website
  • Your website: how fast it loads on a phone, whether the phone number is obvious, and whether it shows real Langley jobs
  • The local competition: who shows in the map results for your main service in two or three communities
  • Your capacity: there's no point generating forty calls a week for a two-person crew

From there we write a short plan with a monthly cost and a clear measure of success, usually booked jobs or calls from new customers, tracked month by month.

Proof from our HVAC work

The group's published case studies come from heating and cooling companies, so we present them as results from our HVAC work rather than as proof in your trade. They still show what a disciplined local approach can do. BCWide.ca tripled its leads in 90 days, and GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat, serves 26+ BC communities and holds a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews. You'll find the full set, and what transfers to other trades, on our results page.

Frequently asked questions

What is Langley Marketing?

It's a Canadian marketing and business consulting service for trades and local businesses in the City and Township of Langley. Ali Sedighi, MBA, runs it as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, a Canadian company based in Vancouver, BC.

Do you do the trade work yourselves?

No. We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair, clean, build or service anything, and we never sell your leads to someone else. We plan and run the marketing and advise you on growing the business.

Is the City of Langley different from the Township for marketing?

Yes, in practice. Customers type plain 'Langley' for both, but your service-area settings, the ads you run and the proof on your site should reflect where your crews really go, whether that's the compact City core or the much larger Township around it.

Why do your case studies come from HVAC companies?

Because that's where the group's published portfolio is. We show them as results from our HVAC work and explain which parts of the method carry over to other trades and to storefront businesses. We never present them as results in your sector.

What does it cost?

For a Langley trade the entry plan is Growth: $1,999 monthly with no contract, or $1,499 monthly if you commit for a year, before 5% GST. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses, and there's no long-term lock-in.

You're based in Vancouver. Do you know Langley?

We plan from the map, not from an office window: drive times along 200 Street and the Fraser Highway, the gap between Aldergrove and Walnut Grove, and how Langley search results shift by community. You reach us by call, text or email, and every plan is written for your actual service area.
